What Can Financial Aid Be Spent On?

Parents and students inevitably ask, “What can I spend Aid money on?”,  Here’s what you can spend financial aid money on:

 

  • School tuition and fees

  • Housing and utilities (up to COA)

  • Personal daily meals (up to COA)

  • Computer (within reason)

  • Textbook and supplies (up to COA)

  • Disability expenses

  • Transportation to/from school

  • Childcare

 

What you cannot spend it on, includes:

 

  • Car, scooter, bike, etc.

  • Entertainment for self or others

    • *Entertainment includes dinners out with friends/family, bar tabs, streaming subscriptions, TV's, cell phones, concerts, etc.

  • Clothing

  • Paying off debt

  • Club/Organization fees or dues
